This study drives at checking the effectiveness of a program for modifying the non- harmonious behavior of children in residential facilities; in attempt to identify the impact of the program on reduction of the non- harmonious behavior level among children of residential facilities. The study sample consists of (18) children as the experimental group and (18) orphan children as the control group residents in residential facilities from two different economic levels (low - high). Their ages range from (9- 13) yrs. old and they are selected from the fourth grade to the sixth grade. The study relies on the experimental method. The study tools are: the economic data form by (the researcher), the scale of non- harmonious behavior prepared by (Nihad Abdel- Wahab), the intelligence test of Raven Colored Progressive Matrices (CPM), (modified and codified by Dr. Emad Ahmed Hassan). The researcher has designed a cognitive- behavioral program to modify the non- harmonious behavior. The study has reached a number of results, the most important of which are: -
The reduction of non- harmonious behavior of the experimental sample after the program was conducted and the effectiveness of the non- harmonious program. There are statistically significant differences between the experimental sample individuals with (high economic environment) and the (low economic environment), in favor of the experimental sample in a high economic environment.
