Kafr El-Sheikh governorate is considered one of the most important Egyptian governorates in fish production. That governorate has included a variety of water resources such as Baltim sea-board, El-Burilus lake, the river Nile branch in Rashid and fishery farms as well as the fishery plantation with Rice fields. Fish total production in Kafr El-Sheikh governorate constitues approximately 18.70% of the total production in Egypt according to the d2t2 1996. The aim of the study is to Know ’three points:- (1) The relative importance of fish production in Egypt and Kafr El-Sheikh governorate during the period 1985- 1995. (2) The productivity efficiency of fishery resources such as capitalism and work-force in Kafi El-Sheikh governorate in the same period mentioned above. (3) The different effective factors on fishery productivity, particularly, the production of Burilus Lake, fishery farms and fishery plantation with Rice fields. The study depends on formal and unformal data with several analytical method such as simple, multiple regression, (T,F) tests and multiple determination as well as step-wise regression analysis. The study used the linear and Logarithmical functions. These functions use time series data during the period 1985-1995 and cross sectional data during the Year 1996. The study consists of four chapters. The first includes the theoretical approach with references. The second contains a background about the water fishery resources in Egypt and Kaf? El-Sheikh governorate. The third includes the relative importance of fish production in Egypt and Kafi El-Sheikh governorate. At last the fourth chapter includes the different effective factors on fishery productivity, particularly, in Burilus lake, fishery fms and fishery plantation with Rice fields in Kaf? El-Sheikh governorate. The most important results in according to economic- Statistical analysis of the linear and logarithrnical functions are as the following :- The most important effective factors on fishery production are: Firstly: Tilapia Species: 1- In Burilis lake: Governmental investments affect on the production in the second yield stage. The production elasticity is about 0.28%. 2- In EL-~awifaa rm: The amount of forage affects on the production of Tilapia in the second yield stage. The production elasticity is about 0.21%. But the Tilapia output affects on the output of Mullet and Ramada in the same direction. The substitution elasticity is about. 0.85%. 3- In EL-Khasha farm: The number of Tilapia fingerling, water depth in the box and the amount of forage affects on the output of Tilapia in the same direction. The production elasticities are about 5.20, 0.02 & 2.03% respectively. Secondly: Mullet species: 1- In Burilus lake: The work-force affects on the output Mullet fish in the second yield stage. The production elasticity is about 0.21%. 2- In El-Zawia farm: The important effective factors on the Mullet and Ramada altogether are: The number Mullet- Ramada figerling, the number of the workers affects on the output of Mullet- Ramada in the second yield stage. The production elasticities are about 0.04 & 0.06% respectively. But the output of Tilapia affects .inversely on the output of Mullet- Ramada altogether. The substitution elasticity is about -3.3%. 3- In El-Khasha farm: The number of Mullet and Ramada figerling altogether, the number of Carp figeding, the amount of Uria fertilizer and the area of box affects on the output of Mullet- Ramada altogether in the same direction except the area of box. The production elasticities are about 0.13 & 0.18 & 0.22 & 2.03% respectively. There are factors used in the second yield stage except the area of box which used in the first yield stage. On the other hand, the relation-ship between the output of Mullet- Ramada altogether and the output of Tilapia is conversely. The substitution elesticity is about 0.96%.
