The Egyptian society has witnessed an important and radical changes since its long history. These changes were the main concern of researchers and historians. The society has witnessed raids, in vastions and wars over history and left its various effects on the society forming, its values and its productive power. Some of these events were in early stages of its history, others were in late stages. There are also events in its modern history. According to its location and history, the Egyptian society still affected with local and international effects which result in dangerous and important changes on the local and national level and has its big effects on all classes of the Egyptian society especially the middle class. from the economical point of view it began to take policies aim at repeating the capitatism shaping and it began with the open – policy and other policies related to adapting and privatization, it has been shown that the world economy has witnessed the birth of a new economic system gives much importance to the role of the market system in allotting the economic resources. This Study Aims At: 1 – Following the historical development of the middle class. 2 – Recognizing the economic open – policy and its effect on the middle class. 3 – Knowing to what extent the middle class is affected by applying the privatization policy. 4 – Finally, a state study to the case of the middle class in Mansoura Dakahlia Governorate The Study Asked a Group of Inquires, the Most Important Ones Are: - What are the historical stages which the middle class faced in the Egyptian society? - What are the most important effects of the economic reform on the position of the middle class? - Did the privatization policy affect the middle class? - What are the most important effects of applying the open – policy and the economic reform on the position of the middle class in Mansoura City? The Study Has Reached A Group of Results: - Through its analysis to the documents which were published during the period it meant its analysis, the study has showed about strong contradictions between the trends of social, economic and political proofs of the political leadership in the fifties and the sixties with other trends unlike the political leadership in the Egyptian society during the seventies and the eighties which had the big effect on the middle class. - The middle and the poor class lost a lot of the profits which they got in the fifties and sixties, and working on the gradual cancel of them. So, these available class opportunities have shrunk in front of most classes of the Egyptian society in return for an increase in the opportunities of the capitalism class which were supported by the political leadership. - Most policies of the Egyptian society on all levels during the seventies and the eighties came to express that their clear taking one side of the capitalism. And is devoted for her political, economical cultural excel and others. from there the available class opportunities have increased directly or indirectly to enhance its taking side to the wealth and increasing its domination and effective influence alike on the economic.
