Abstract

The present study is mainly concerned with the graphical formation evalution of Rudies Formation using the avialable well logs for five wells drilled essentially for hydrocarbon exploration in the area of northwest of El - Tor, Gulf of Suez, Egypt. These logs are the resistivity, neutron, desity, sonic, caliper and gamma ray logs. A number of isopach and structural maps as well as a structural cross sections have been constructed by the author to disclose the different geological and structural elements encountered in the subsurface of the study area, with special emphasis to the Rudies Formation, wich belongs to the Lower Miocene age.
