Abstract

This investigation is a trial to study the interactive effects of some antitranspirants viz: sodium salicylate or abscisic acid and salinity stress induced by NaCl-irrigation in improving salinity tolerance for wheat plants. The present study was carried out in a greenhouse at the Faculty of Science Mansoura, throughout the two successive seasons 1991/1992. On wheat cultivar Sakha 69. Wheat grains were presoaked in sodium salicylate (5mM) or ABA(1mM). The plants were irrigated with two levels of NaCl (66 or 99 mM) to study the response of these plants to the previous treatment under saline treatment.
