Abstract

This prospective cohort study included 100 patients admitted to the department of cardiology, Tanta university hospitals, and Qabbary General Hospital in Alexandria, in the period from April 2020 to September 2021 for assessment of myocardial viability for the possibility of myocardialrevascularization. All Hospitalized patients with non-ST-segment elevation myocardialinfarction, defined as (symptoms consistent with ACS and Troponin elevation but with no ECG changes consistent with ST-elevation myocardial infarction) were included. The predictive risk of thromboembolism in patients with non-valvular atrial fibrillation has been evaluated using the CHADS2 and CHA2DS2- VASc scores. A number of recent studies have demonstrated the value of the CHADS2 and CHA2DS2-VASc scores for assessing coronary artery disease risk (CAD). The severity of CAD may be assessed by the recently established CHA2DS2-VASc-HS score, which measures atherosclerosis.
