Abstract

Integrated management to some sugar beet insects at Kafr El-Sheikh region Sugar beet yield is considered the first source of sugar in Egypt but it is attached by several pests due to its large root and shoot system and its remaining in the field for log time so the current experiments were carried out at the experimental farm of Sakha agricultural research station during 2019/2020 and 2020/2021 seasons to control the pests that attach the plant with saving the environment and natural enemies persisting in the field to achieve the benfit or controlling with the least amount of loses enviromently and economicly. The studies aimed to Susceptibility of some sugar beet varities to infestation with the key insect parts and its impact on productivity. Effect of sowing dates on sugar beet plants infestation with some insect pests. Faba bean as atrap crop for pests and attractive to natural enemies. Influence of releasing the green lacewing against the main sugar beet insects. The role of nano silica in killing sugar beet insects . Efficiency of some alternative insecticides on certain sugar beet insects and associated predators in comparison with conventional one. Effect of nano silica particles on the main sugar beet pests (Spodoptera spp , P. mixta and C.vittata ) in laboratory.
