Abstract

The protein profile of treated Cx. pipiens was obtained using SDS-PAGE including five AMPs; Megacin, Gambicin, Diptericin, Attacin, Subtilisin, BinA, BinB, MTX1, Cry49 and Cry48.
Semithin sections were inspected with LM. Infected midgut epithelium with B.sphaericus showed an increase number of stem cells and nuclei. Midgut sections of TEM revealed six nuclei with stem cells two hours post treatment. After ten hours of infection, nine nuclei containing developed stem cells and semi-intact microvilli. Many vacuoles, bacteria in lumen and more deterioration appears after fourteen hours of treatment. Stomach from treated animals with AttA demonstrated restored cells damaged with H.pylori with less edema and low H.pylori colonization.
