Abstract

this study, 24 surgical sites in 24 patients were planned to receive dental implant (biohorizons implant, the pro, platform switching design, USA) in class II extraction sockets using vestibular socket therapy (VST) with different grafting materials. 8 implants were placed with collagen plug combined soaked in patient’s blood, 8 with allograft demineralized bone matrix, and the other 8 with a particulate bone graft composed of two thirds autogenous cortical chips harvested from the surgical site and one third of xenogenic bovine deprotinzed particles. All implants and graft material were covered by a flexible xenograft Bone membrane shield.
