This research، entitled “The Grammatical Efforts of Mohammed Ali Taha El- Durrah through His Interpretation of the Holy Qur’an”، aimed to highlight the scientific status of the interpretation of El- Durra which was formed through many grammatical and syntactical issues besides the scientific status that the author of interpretation gained among the modern interpreters and grammarians. The problem of the study lies in highlighting the efforts of Mohammed Ali El Durra and his great contributions in the field of language and grammar، his attitude towards the principles of grammar، linguistic argumentation and grammatical schools، through his opinions، choices، obligations، conceptions towards grammarians، which I studied through both types of sentences and well as sentence complements. To achieve the objective of the study، the researcher followed the descriptive approach which concerns describing the linguistic phenomena in the interpretation of El Durra. The plan of the study is as follows: a preface، two chapters and a conclusion. In the preface، I talked about a brief biography about Elshaikh El Durra، the Holy Qur’an and linguistic studies. The first chapter comprises the grammatical efforts of Mohammed Taha El Durra in his interpretation، choices، objections، grammatical conceptions about sentence and its complements. It also comprises two sections: words and syntactical case orientations. The second chapter comprises the grammatical fundamentals of El Durra، citing، his attitude towards induction and analogy، grammatical cause and Kufics and Basri grammarians and others. The study concluded that El Duraa، in his discussion of linguistic issues، narrates many of the opinions and sayings of scholars without telling about them، narrating their sayings or interpret them، then weigh between opinions through preference. Moreover، he assumes that he narrate the sayings of Sibawayh، however when we investigate that we find the contrary. He is also interested in words orientation، structures in terms of syntax، telling aspects of syntax and choosing from these aspects through preferring the saying of one of the imams.
