The study aimed to identify the level of each of self-compassion, academic resilience, and future anxiety among the study sample of postgraduate students, and the relationship between self-compassion, academic resilience and future anxiety among the study sample of. postgraduate students, and finally identifying the percentage of the contribution of self-compassion in predicting future anxiety among the study. The study used the descriptive, correlational approach The study sample consisted of 333 male and female postgraduate students at the Faculty of Education, Sohag University. sample of postgraduate students. ( 22-51) years, with an average age (27.426 ), and a standard deviation (5.596 ), the study tools: a measure of self-compassion (prepared by: El-Dabaa. , 2013), academic resilience scle (prepared by: cassidy, 2016, translation and modification: the researcher), and Future anxiety scale (prepared by: Choucair, 2005), and the results revealed that there is a high level of self-compassion and academic resilience among the study sample of postgraduate students, and there is a low level of future anxiety except for the level after anxiety related to life problems.
The results also indicated the existence of a statistically significant negative correlation between self-compassion (total score and its positive dimensions) and both future anxiety, and the existence of a statistically significant positive correlation between the negative dimensions of self-compassion and future anxiety among postgraduate students, as found. A negative relationship between academic resilience and future anxiety among postgraduate students the results also found that the dimensions of self-compassion (excessive autism, common humanity, isolation, autonomy, and mental alertness) contributed to predicting future anxiety, and explained about (36.5%) of the variation in future anxiety among the study sample. of postgraduate students.. The dimensions of academic resilience also contributed to predicting future anxiety, as they explained 44.2% of the variance in future anxiety. Academic resilience is also the most powerful variable in predicting future anxiety .
