Abstract In our refinery plant polymer grade (propylene) will be produced by a dehydrogenation of propane through a steam reforming process. changing fuel gas temperature to any higher value will not have any observable effect on the adiabatic flame temperature. Fuel gas con-Sumption will decrease for all consumers without affecting any operating conditions only by raising combustion air temperature to the maximum value taking into consideration design temperature of equipment. using excess oxygen as combustion fluid would increase heating value of combustion and decreasing fuel gas consumption by 160 Nm3/h also will cause combustion air fan duty to decrease while the flue gases temperature would increase to higher values due high combustion temperature which could have a good use with tis extra heat. |
