Abstract Structurally related compounds encounter a challenge in their determination The thesis is composed of four parts: Part I: General introduction This part presents a general introduction about structurally related pharmaceutical compounds, prodrugs analysis, stability indicating assay methods, forced degradation studies, degradation kinetics and impurity profiling of drugs. Part II: Stability Indicating RP-HPLC Method for Determination of Dimethyl Fumarate in Presence of Its Main Degradation Products: Application to Degradation Kinetics In this part, a stability-indicating RP-HPLC method for quantitative determination of dimethyl fumarate in presence of its main degradation products (monomethyl fumarate and fumaric acid) was developed. Part III: Stability Indicating RP-HPLC Method for Methylcobalamin Determination in Different Dosage Forms: Application to Photodegradation Kinetics and pH-rate Profiling In this part, a stability-indicating RP-HPLC method for methylcobalamin determination was developed in presence of hydroxycobalamin (main degradation product and reported impurity). Part IV: Green Micellar Stability Indicating HPLC Method for Rupatadine Fumarate Determination in Presence of Its Main Impurity Desloratadine: Oxidative Degradation Kinetics study. In this part, a green micellar stability indicating HPLC method was developed for determination of rupatadine fumarate in existence with its main impurity desloratadine. |
