Abstract

Liver is the largest organ in the body (weighing an average of 1288g) as shown in Figure1
(Molina et al., 2015). It locates under the diaphragm in the right upper abdomen and mid abdomen
and extends to the left upper abdomen. It is divided into right lobe and left lobe. Liver contains
several cell types, which arranged in the hepatic acinus as illustrated in Figure (2), showing
hepatocytes, endothelial cells, Kupffer cells, and hepatic stellate cells, with a contributions of
78%, 2.8%, 2.1%, and 1.4% to total liver volume and to the total liver cell volume is 92.5%, 3.3%,
2.5%, and 1.7% respectively (Wolf, 1990).
