Abstract
This experimental work was carried out at El-Serw Research Station for Waterfowls, Animal Production Research Institute, Ministry of Agriculture, Dokki. The experiment was extended from January to July (2011). A total number of 2000 egg were collected from both meat ducks such as Muscovy (foreign); Sudani (local) and egg layer ducks such as Khaki-Campbell (foreign) and Domyati (local) breeds were used. Eggs were divided into three categories (less than 73; 73 to 80; greater than 80g). Eggs were collected and hatched. A total number of 600 day-old-ducklings (150/breed) from each Muscovy, Sudani, Khaki-Campbell and Domyati breeds were wing banded, weighed and divided randomly to 3 equal groups (50 ducklings/group). During the growing period, body weight, body weight gain, feed consumption, feed conversion, mortality rate, body measurements, carcass quality and composition were determined. Also, egg quality and composition, fertility and hatchability percentage were calculated and Protein electrophoresis study using SDS-PAGE technique for both kinds of duck, was done
