Abstract
The importance of insurance is reflected in the services it delivers to countries individuals, and economic and commercial establishments. Also, the insurance industry is considered a source of finance for investment projects as insurance companies invest insurance premiums until needed in the future .Undoubtedly, these investments play a significant role in economic growth and financing socio- economic development plans. On this basis, this research sheds light on developments of European investments in Egypt in the commodity sectors and the non-financial services sectors in general, and then moving to the financial services sector and specifically focuses on the insurance sector. This research aims to study and analyze flows of European investments in various sectors of Egyptian economy, and stand at attractions and expulsion, to show the most effective areas to attract European investments in order to achieve the national economic interest. In addition, to search for how to raise the value added of European investments in the insurance sector so as to create continuous flows in the Egyptian capital market. The research ends with measuring the direct effect of European investments in the Egyptian insurance market through (a Case Study) for branches of one of the most important and largest German companies specialized in insurance field - around the world - located in Egypt.
