Botanical and DNA profiling of Ficus cyathistipula Warb. were conducted. Phytochemical screening, extraction and examination of the extractives were also done. The ethanolic and aqueous extracts of the leaves were found to be safe and non-toxic up to 5g/Kg of body weight. The ethanolic and aqueous extracts showed anti-inflammatory activity, antidiabetic and mild anti-ulcer activities. The petroleum ether fraction was the most potent on breast and cervical carcinoma cell lines while the latex was the most potent on hepatic cancer cell line. The ethyl acetate fraction showed the highest anti-oxidant activity. The methylene chloride was the most active on gram positive, gram negative bacteria and fungi. Investigation of the latex of the unripe fruits that lead to the isolation of amyrin palmitate (L1) and lupeol acetate (L2). Investigation of the lipoidal content included GLC analysis of the lipoidal matter and isolation and identification of the major constituents of the petroleum ether fraction. Compounds isolated from this fraction were identified as lupeol acetate (L2), taraxerol (L3), Ý-sitosterol (L4). Quantitative estimation of the total steroidal content calculated as 593 Ý-sitosterol equivalent/100 g d wt. Isolation and identification of the major constituents of the ethyl acetate fraction. Compounds isolated from this fraction were identified as protocatechuic acid (L5) and chlorogenic acid (L6). Quantitative estimation of total phenolic, flavonoid and tannin content corresponding to 358.8 mg, 206.4 mg and 9 g/ 100 g d.wt., respectively. Investigation of the mucilage content that revealed the presence of four free sugars that were glucose, galactose, arabinose and glucuronic acid
