Abstract
Background: Classical Hodgkin{u2019}s lymphoma is characterized by a minority of neoplastic cells surrounded by a heterogeneous background population of non-neoplastic cells including lymphoma-associated macrophages. This study aimed for evaluating the efficacy of Prognostic value of CD68+ macrophage in Classic Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and clinical response, overall survival, and progression free survival of the patients of Hodgkin Lymphoma who presented to NCI, Cairo in the period from January 2006 till December 2013. Design and Methods: This retrospective study included 81 patients with pathologically proven diagnosis of classic-Hodgkin lymphoma .The paraffin blocks of all cases were reviewed at pathology department where assessment of CD68 was done by Quantitative real time PCR (Q-RTP) and immunohistochemistry.
