Abstract

Using a citrate auto-combustion method, potassium/magnesium nano ferrites
with the formula Mgx+1/2K1-2xFe2O4 and GO/Mg0.85K0.3Fe2O4; x = 1% and
10% were synthesized. The prepared samples were classified into two groups.
In the first group, an attempt was made to synthesize and characterize
Mgx+1/2K1-2xFe2O4, (x=0,0.15,0.35) nanoparticles.
The structural, magnetic, and optical properties of the prepared samples are
investigated in order to find one that is more applicable.
The influence of adding different weight percent of GO on structure,
morphology, electrical, and magnetic properties was discussed in the second
group. An attempt was made to increase the electrical conductivity without
compromising the other appropriate material properties. The obtained data
was compared with the data of already tested pure potassium/magnesium nano
ferrites.
