This study aims at evaluating the effect of aesthetic rhinoplasty on nasal resistance to air flow in patients who underwent rhinoplasty for cosmetic reasons only. Cairo university - Faculty of medicine, Kasr Alaini medical hospital, department of otorhinolaryngology. A case controlled clinical study. A total of fourty three adult patients who underwent aesthetic rhinoplasty were included in this study. Assessment of nasal patency and resistance to air flow was carried out both subjectively and objectively using the visual analogue score (VAS), to evaluate nasal air flow and active anterior rhinomanometry respectively; preoperative and at three and six months postoperative. In the view of this study; it was concluded that aesthetic rhinoplasty does not affect nasal patency or increase nasal resistance to air flow
