المستخلص
Transport sector is one of the most sectors affecting city planning and development, it is responsible for mass transit systems inside and between cities, reflecting the urbanization and civilization level. The research studied the Metro system, one of the most important transit systems, it combines the benefits of both rail and bus systems. The study aims to conclude set of criteria to evaluate and improve the metro performance efficiency, by conducting a statistical analysis of data from global metro systems. The researcher concluded that there are fixed criteria such as speed, capacity and costs...etc., in addition to other variable criteria according to each country priorities.
