The current study aimed to identify the effectiveness of a realistic counseling program in developing psychological resilience and its impact on improving methods of coping with stressful life events for a sample of high school students. The study sample consisted of (20) high school students who were divided into two (10) control groups. and (10) guiding. The study used: The Psychological Resilience Scale. Prepared by: Conner and Davidson (2003), translated by Heba Jaber Abdel Hamid (2017), and the Scale for Methods of Confronting Stressful Life Events. Prepared by: Ali Abdel Salam Ali (2008), and the Realistic Counseling Program prepared by: the researcher
Results of the study:
-There ware differences between the average grades of the guiding group members and the average grades of the control group members after applying the counseling program in the direction of the guiding group, on the dimensions of the psychological resilience scale and total degree.
-There ware differences between the average scores of the guiding group members before applying the program, and the average scores of the members of the same group after applying the program in favor of dimensional application after applying the program, on the dimensions of the psychological resilience scale and total score.
-There ware no differences between the mean scores of the guiding group members in the two post and follow-up measurements on the dimensions of the psychological resilience scale and total score.
-There ware differences between the average scores of the guiding group members and the average scores of the control group members after applying the counseling program in the direction of the guiding group, on the dimensions of the scale of methods of coping with stressful life events.
-There ware differences between the average grades of the guiding group members before applying the program, and the average grades of the members of the same group after applying the program in favor of dimensional application after applying the program, on the dimensions of the scale of methods of coping with stressful life events.
-There ware differences between the average grades of the guiding group members in the post and follow-up measurements on the dimensions of the scale of methods of coping with stressful life events.
