Abstract SUMMARY Nowadays, orthodontic ceramic brackets are widely used in dental practice. Debonding of ceramic bracket is difficult and may cause enamel damage. So there were attempts to decrease this damage and make debonding of ceramic bracket easier than before. One of these attempts is using Laser aided debonding technique. This study was performed to evaluate the effect of irradiation of diode laser (940 nm) on debonding of ceramic brackets, measure the temperature in the pulp chamber, evaluate shear bond strength and measure Adhesive Remnant Index (ARI) So, the study was performed on 66 premolar tooth blocks, they were numerated and divided into 6 groups with cavity preparation on occlusal surface looked like an endodontic access cavity. The study groups were as following: group I: the non lased polycrystalline ceramic bracket type group. group II: the 2W diode laser polycrystalline ceramic bracket type group |
