ABSTRACT
The study aimed to focus on the role of digital economic systems with their various means and tools and what Egypt has achieved in catching up and keeping pace with the rapid technological development that is taking place around the world by shedding light on the use of these digital technologies and tools in performing the transactions and activities of government sectors, especially the sector of the Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade. As one of the most important and largest government sectors and most of them deal with all segments of Egyptian society, with the aim of working on developing government performance, increasing production and national income, for sustainable development of the available resources, facing fluctuations and sudden economic changes, supporting sound decision-making, as well as improving procedures for providing government services with maximum efficiency and minimal time and effort. Presenting all data and information with credibility and transparency, and providing guarantees for their protection; This is based on the advanced technological tools and techniques provided by the digital environment in achieving the desired goals.
Among the most important findings of the study is that there is indeed a change for the better in the performance of the catering sector and internal trade in Egypt, which is represented in the development of the culture and procedures for performing government transactions and providing services, as well as the remarkable improvement in communication channels and communication with the recipients of those transactions and services, and this despite the presence of some weaknesses and shortcomings. In the technical, material and human capabilities of the government sector, the researcher also found that there is a strong direct relationship with statistical significance between the application of the digital economic environment with its available technologies, applications and smart tools, and between developing the performance of the catering sector, internal trade, its employees and those dealing with it, and supporting and making sound decisions. The smart digital environment improves the performance of the catering sector and internal trade.
Among the most important proposals made by the study at the level of the government sector is the need to work on the follow-up and development of this electronic system and its improvement through the development of government transactions and services and the methods of their performance and methods of presentation, reducing time and effort as well as improving the procedures for obtaining it, achieving the satisfaction of its beneficiaries, and developing the necessary strategies to increase its quality and efficiency Their effectiveness, follow-up on how they are implemented, and the application of the concepts of total quality and the foundations of rational management when relying on digital tools in decision-making processes, taking into account the dimensions, standards, and social and environmental impacts resulting from those decisions so that the positives can be maximized from relying on smart digital tools in the processes of industry and decision-making. government sectors, forecasting revenues and expenditures, rationalizing costs and sustaining resources, as well as increasing the ability to rely on digital systems to confront, contain and absorb the effects of sudden economic fluctuations; The study also presented a number of economically significant indicators that can be relied upon in the future in determining the extent to which the performance of government sectors has evolved in the use of modern technologies, as well as proposed strategies to increase benefit from the use of digital economy systems.
The study also recommends the need to work on increasing the material, technical and human capabilities, increasing the qualification and provision of good technological infrastructure and administrative and technical cadres in the catering sector and internal trade, providing and organizing programs and qualifying training courses for employees, and spreading a culture of identification and awareness initiatives about the benefits of digital platforms and tools for all those who deal with them by various possible means with Work to improve it, expand its scope, reduce the dispersal of its launch, simplify the procedures and steps to deal with it, as well as follow up its implementation and conduct questionnaires and surveys to get opinions about them, with the need to consider evaluating the results and comparing them before and after implementation, taking into account the social and environmental standards and conditions of the Egyptian community when using And applying those digital technologies, tools and applications.
