Abstract

Two field experiments were conducted during the 2019-2020 season in a private farm in Nafesheh in Ismailia governorate under the surface irrigation system, in order to study the effect of four celebrated levels of potassium fertilization (0, 25, 50, 75 kg K2O /fad) with foliar spraying of microelements or their debts on growth characters, yield and yield attributes of groundnuts (Arachis hypogaea L. ) in sandy soil. Plant height, dry weight of plant, number of pods per plant, number of seeds /plant, 100- seed weight, seed yield per 100 pods , 100- pod weight, Shelling percentage, pod yield per fad (in kg), straw yield per fad (in kg), seed oil content (%), Aflatoxin infection rate (µg kg-1) were studied, content of two Peanut varieties Giza 6 as erect c.v. and NC 9 as spread c.v. The results indicated that NC 9 cultivar surpassed Giza-6 cultivar in No. of pods/plant, No. of seeds/plant, 100- seeds pod,100- pod weigh, Shelling percentage, pod yield per fad, straw yield per fad, seed oil content (%). All studied characters were increased by increasing potassium fertilization rates up to 75 kg K2O/fad. Mixture of micro elements in solution form was carried out as foliar application using1cm3/L led to a significant increase in 100- pod weight, seed yield per 100 pods . It was possible to obtain the highest values for all the previous traits by applying potassium fertilization at a rate of 75 kg K2O/ fad with mixture of microelements in solution form was carried out as foliar application using1cm3/L.
