Abstract
Community-based Ecotourism (CBE) has become the newest approach in tourism development planning process, emerged to support community involvement, to improve their living standards and protect natural resources. However, the actual implementation of involving communities in decisions making is poorly achieved, which impacted negatively on the effectiveness and sustainability of these initiatives. Accordingly, this research focused on evaluating Egyptian Ecotourism initiatives represented by analyzing Egyptian case studies, through carrying out questionnaires and interviews
