Abstract

The natural extracts of studied plants may provide a new source of antimicrobial agents.
The aim of this thesis is to isolated and assess the effectiveness and efficiency of five plant extracts from different parts as an antibacterial and antifungal.
Extract content (EC%) of tested plants of leaf and branch of Callistemon viminalis was (59.496 and 4.376 EC %, respectively), Phytolacca dioica (3.146 and 1.355 EC %, respectively)
and Sophora secundiflora (5.209 and 4.907 EC %, respectively), as well as the leaf, branch and seed of each Millettia pinnata (3.188, 3.338 and 2.282 EC %, respectively) and Lagunaria
patersonii (2.128, 2.828 and 2.475 EC %, respectively) that had been tested on the fungi (Alternaria solani, Bipolaris oryzae, Fusarium oxysporum and Rhizoctonia solani). Also on the
bacteria (Agrobacterium tumefaciens, Erwinia amylovora, Pectobacterium carotovorum subsp.
Carotovorum and Ralstonia solanacerum).
