Abstract The objectives of this research are to: ➢ Synthesis of high-quality MSNs material with high surface area. ➢ Addition of some compounds on the surface of the MSNs and use it as optical sensors. ➢ characterization of the prepared MSNs by different techniques, confirming the formation of the structure, their porosity, and its functionalization including powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD), N2 sorption, and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). ➢ Synthesis of a high-quality sensor for palladium ions estimation. ➢ Examining sensor in the removal of the Cu2+ and Pd2+ ions. ➢ Identification of the optical sensor and its properties. ➢ Using the new approach in the detection and removal of palladium ions from E-wastes using the optical chemical sensor. |
