Abstract

Two field experiments were carried out at Kafr El Manazla at Damietta Governorate during two spring seasons 2019 and 2020. The aim of this investigation is to study the effect of potassium rates on growth and yield of pepper and soil properties after harvesting. The experiment was adopted in split block design. Main plot was assigned in three rates of potassium fertigation, while the four treatments of foliar application of k-leaf were arranged to the sup plots .
Potassium fertigation (T1: without fertigation; T2: 50% fertigation (66 kg K2O fed-1); T3: 100% fertigation (132 kg K2O fed-1)).
Four rates of K-leaf:(F1: Control; F2: 2 kg K-leaf fed-1; F3: 4 kg K-leaf fed-1 and F4: 6 kg K-leaf fed-1).
Samples were taken from pepper fruits to estimate the size of the fruits, the fresh and dry weight, the yield of fruits (fresh and dry), and the ratios of nitrogen, potassium, phosphorous, carbohydrates and phenols for each treatment, through three batches.
.It could be recommended that using potassium fertigation at 132 kg k fed-1 as with potassium foliar application at 2, 4and 6 kg k leaf fed-1 achieved the maximum pepper yield under alluvial soil conditions.
