Abstract

Studying pedagogical and morphological properties and produc a soil and physiographic maps in the north Nile Delta.Monitoring soil degradation process and recognizing its various types to take the practical measures, during the period from 2005 to 2020 using spatial models, as a basis for making decisions on its use and management.Mapping and evaluating different types of land degradation risk in the study area. To achieve the aim of this study, sentential 2 image and digital elevation model(DEM) that,
extracted from the Shuttle Radar Topography Mission (SRTM) acquired in 2019 were used in SNAP 8 and ArcGIS 10.2.2software to extract landform units. The mapping units then verified
in the field by the testing augers for boundary accuracy among the different mapping units, and then representative soil profiles were identified. twenty-one soil profiles were dug to represent
different mapping units of study area. All soil profiles were carefully described in situ. The morphological features were carefully recorded and soil samples (79) as well as (43) water
samples represent the ground and surface water resources of this study area were collected for laboratory analysis. The soil physical, chemical and fertility properties of these soils for the
purpose of their mapping, genesis, classification, available nutrient contents and land degradation
