Professional learning societies represent a local and global trend in education reform through their role in improving teacher performance, which in turn helps to improve learners’ performance, form good relationships between teachers and develop the educational system; Therefore, this research seeks to study ways of improving the performance of primary school teachers in the State of Kuwait in the light of professional learning societies.
In light of the evaluation nature of the research, the descriptive and analytical approach was used, which seeks to analyze, describe and explain the reality of the performance of primary school teachers in the State of Kuwait in the light of professional learning societies, and to identify the obstacles and negatives that prevent them from achieving their goals - in theory and in the field.
The research concluded with proposing a set of measures to improve the performance of primary school teachers in the State of Kuwait in light of professional learning societies, after identifying the reality of the performance of elementary school teachers in Kuwait and the obstacles that correspond to it, and among the most important of these proposed measures are the following:
1. selection of school leaderships from principals, technical mentors and department heads, according to specific conditions.
2. Encouraging primary school teachers to conduct scientific, applied research and community participation.
3. Developing the capabilities of teachers to be able to build learning societies in their schools.
4. Improving the roles and responsibilities of primary school management.
5. Encouraging teamwork and spreading a culture of participatory leadership.
