Objectives of the study: The study aims at: Identifying the reality of the Egyptian general secondary education schools with STEM system. Identifying the experiences of some advanced countries in applying the STEM system in general secondary education.Identifying the reality of re-engineering general secondary education in Egypt. Determining the factors of strengths and weaknesses in the internal environment of STEM schools in Egypt .Using analyzing the internal environment of STEM schools to re-engineer secondary education in Egypt.
The current research used the descriptive approach, Study tools: The researcher conducted a survey study through an open interview with 24 STEM school students in Gamasa and Ismailia , and 9 teachers in the same two schools.
The researcher also interviewed a sample of students of parents of , teachers of high-schools of science and technology, teachers’ evaluators in high-schools of science and technology and experts interested in high-schools of science and technology. Study Results :The study eventually provided a suggested vision for re-engineering general secondary education in light of the results of analyzing the internal environment of STEM schools benefiting from the points of strength in STEM schools and treating points of weakness, in line with the results of the research and the nature of the Egyptian society its cultural environment .The mechanisms for implementing the proposed vision according to its objectives in light of analyzing the internal environment of STEM schools according to the dimensions of the educational strategic map followed the axes: The First Axis : The financial performance of STEM schools. The Second Axis : Customer satisfaction .The Third Axis: Internal processes and operational performance . The Fourth Axis: Training and education ” growth”.
