Introduction:
The scientific studies have proven that the muscular movement of the human body of multiple and diverse functions with different relationships and mechanisms acquires many skills in performance if the compatibility between them is correct leading to the ability and control of the kinesthetic mechanism process and the kinesthetic sense synergy.
The difficulty in learning the performance of techniques on the piano, if not treated, then negatively affects the students and the implications of this difficulty extend to the higher study teams of students, which affects them psychologically and emotionally, so they negative feelings accumulate around them affecting their personality.
Among those difficulties in learning the performance of the piano, that related to the difficulty of synergy and the mechanism of sense kinesthetic synergy. It is worth noting that the techniques of playing the piano, especially those that form difficulties, often appear from them the presence of wrong accumulations in the anatomical shape of the fingers and the hand, which results in stress and disabilities that negatively affect the player, and this is due to a lack of a correct understanding of either the anatomical situation or how to properly perform the skill and synergistic sense of movement. The zither is one of the most similar instruments in the position of a player with a piano, whether in some anatomical aspects of the player’s body or fingers, the process of kinesthetic sense synergy or many musical techniques.
It has been noticed that there is a similarity with a historical and civilizational dimension, and indeed the process of evolution from other instruments such as the harp, the dulcimer and the zither to the piano. from here came many similarities in terms of anatomy, kinesthetic sense synergy and instrumental techniques, as these techniques are performed more easily on the zither due to the nature of zither components that differ from the piano, as such techniques are performed on the piano more difficult and this is due to the nature and components of the piano, which requires more skills in difficulty, in order to increase the use of the movement mechanism and the kinesthetic sense synergy in the performance process.
According to the foregoing, this study tackled several concepts dealing with the historical development of zither, piano, and the anatomy of movement mechanism and the muscles used in addition to the kinesthetic sense synergy and linking it to the anatomy process and the similar playing techniques between the zither and the piano in order to achieve the assumptions and objectives of this study through the field study that relied on various exercises such as Hannon, Longo and Ali Hussain to devise innovations from the researcher to develop the kinesthetic sense of the piano students through dissection of the fingers as an approach to those innovations on the piano instrument inspired by the musical techniques of the zither.
The study came in four chapters:
- The first chapter: (Research introduction) as it includes two themes: the first includes the problem, objectives, importance, hypotheses, method, sample, tools and research idioms, and the second includes the previous studies and researches related to the research topic.
The second chapter: (Development, Anatomy, and kinesthetic sense of piano techniques, zither and Ali Hussain’s exercises): as it includes four themes:
• The first theme: (Evolution of the piano, methods of playing the zither and the piano): the zither and the piano, the process of evolution, the method of playing the zither and the piano.
• The second theme: (Anatomy of the player’s body and the mechanism of movement on the piano): the anatomy, the mechanism of movement and its importance for the pianist, the skeletal, muscular and articular systems and their importance for the pianist, the movement mechanism of the pianist on the piano.
• The third theme: (Kinesthetic sense and the skill of the fingers for piano techniques and zither): the kinesthetic sense and the skill, the skill of kinesthetic sense in the player’s fingers of zither and piano.
• The fourth theme: (Similar techniques for zither, piano and Ali Hussain exercises): Anatomy and the kinesthetic sense mechanism of similar techniques for zither, piano, Ali Hussain physical and musical exercises on the piano.
- The third chapter: (the field study): This chapter includes the methodology, tools, and sample of the field study and the applied sessions to develop the kinesthetic sense for students of the piano and the anatomy of the fingers, which were divided into four main axes. The first axis (the mechanism of the body movement on the piano instrument (dissection of the fingers), the second axis (the kinesthetic sense synergy), the third axis (piano techniques, the study sample) through implementing (exercises of Ali Hussein) and the fourth axis (the musical techniques inspired by the zither.
- The fourth chapter: (the research results with discussing them and recommendations): This chapter came to explain the results in light of the hypotheses and the extent of their achievement, and to discuss the results in light of the response to the questions. Then, it dealt with a summary of the results and the extent of achieving the objectives. After that came the suggested recommendations for the importance of kinesthetic sense synergy process, the mechanism of movement and dissection of the fingers on the piano.
The most important findings of the field study found by this research is the importance of developing the kinesthetic sense synergy and the correct movement mechanism on the piano. This is through the exercises prepared by the researcher that inspired by the zither to improve the performance of some musical playing techniques on the piano.
