ABSTRACT
This study aimed at developing environmental management skills and environmental behavior among the middle leaders of the General Authority of Cultural Palaces through a behavioral knowledge program and searching for a relationship between environmental behavior and environmental management skills, and the study was conducted on a sample formed from (60) from the middle leaders of the Culture Palaces Authority, they were divided into (30) as an experimental group and (30) as a control group, The researcher used three tools: (a scale for environmental management skills), (a measure of environmental behavior) and (a behavioral knowledge program), All of them were prepared by the researcher, and to verify the validity of the study hypotheses, the researcher used a number of statistical methods represented in: T-test for independent samples, T-test for correlated samples, simple linear regression analysis, and effect size calculation. The study reached the following results: There are statistically significant differences in the dimensions of both environmental management skills and environmental behavior among members of the experimental group and the control group, in favor of the pilot, and the size of the program’s impact on the experimental group was significant, There are statistically significant differences in the dimensions of both environmental management skills and environmental behavior between telemetry and traceability, in favor of traceability, of a large impact size, The presence of a statistically significant effect of environmental behavior on the dimensions of environmental management skills, where the value of the degree of impact has reached β (2.177) This means that an increase of one degree in environmental behavior leads to an increase in the total dimensions of environmental management skills by an amount (2.177).
Study recommendations: Based on the results of the study, the researcher recommended the adoption of the current behavioral knowledge program within the programs offered by the Center for the preparation of cultural leaders at the General Authority of Cultural Palaces, and the holding of specialized courses related to environmental management skills and environmental behavior, and building behavioral knowledge programs that aim to develop environmental management skills and environmental behavior, in Other classes in other regions, such as the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Health, and the Ministry of Transport
