Abstract
Summary and Conclusion Aim of the work to study the relation between thyroid function and renal function in chronic kidney disease and the effect of dialysis in these patients. The present work was carried on sixty participants of both sexes ranging between 19-64 years They were divided into three main groups. group I: control group:10 healthy participants group II: (25 patients) chronic kidney non dialysis patient were further subdivided into 3 subgroups: Subgroup IIa10 Patients with normal thyroid functions Subgroup II b10 Patients with hypothyroid disorder (patients) Subgroup IIc 5patient with hyperthyroid disorder group III: (25 patients) chronic kidney with hemodialysis three times weekly. They were further subdivided into three subgroups. Subgroup III a 10 Patients with normal thyroid functions Subgroup III b10 Patients with hypothyroid disorder Subgroup III c5 patient with hyperthyroid disorder At the end of the experiment: urine was collected for 24 hours. Urinary albumin concentration Serum creatinine, Serum urea, Serum Total Tri-iodithyronine (T3), Thyroxin (T4), Serum Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH). were measured, GFR will be measured as creatinine clearance.
