Abstract

Chronic hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection is a multi-system disease that is associated with numerous complications and affects sevsral aspects of the well being of those who contract it.
Sexuality is a complex multifaceted construct with physical, mental, social and cultural aspects, which make its assessment a complex and challenging procedure, especially in women.
Sex is an expression of physical, social, spiritual, and emotional health. In Egypt most patients with HCV infection focus solely on the associated liver disease and its management. But neglect discussing disorders in their sexual life as they consider it a sensitive topic.
