Abstract This study aimed to investigate the potential effects of carvacrol as anti-inflammatory plant, we will investigate whether administration of carvacrol nano-emulsion had any protective effect against AD in rats. The following parameters were estimated: 1. Brain neurotransmitters (Dopamine, Norepinephrine and Serotonin) estimated by HPLC. 2. Brain MDA, SOD and reduced glutathione estimated by spectrophotometer. 3. Brain acetylcholinesterase by spectrophotometer. 4. Advanced oxidation protein product (AOPP) by ELISA. 5.Urinary 8-Hydroxy-2′-deoxyguanosine level (8-OHdG) by HPLC. 6.COX1 and COX2 by immunohistochemistry. The current study showed fruitful possible treatment for AD that is originally comes from natural origin. Which evident leverage of natural occurring compounds ability to be used a protection from stubborn diseases that we face today when combined with the current state of the art technology like nanotechnology. For that our study encourage for using Carvacrol-nanoemulsion as hopeful protecting agent against AD. |
