The study starts from a major question about the woman’s work outside her home and its impact on family cohesion. A number of questions can be derived that the researcher sought in her study, namely : What is the nature of the woman’s job and the motives for her work outside her home- What are the impacts of the Libyan woman working outside her home on herself, her relationship with the husband, the children, and the family What is the extent of the woman’s contribution in financial expenditure to raise the standard of living of family members and the impact of this on the family’s stability and cohesion What are the consequences of multiple roles for Libyan working woman Study results: - One of the most important motives for the woman’s work outside her home is to help improve the family’s income, as a result of the difficult living and economic conditions in which the family lives, and the high cost of living, which increases the family’s stability and its cohesion- The woman’s work outside her home has achieved economic and psychological security for her and her family, and has achieved social fulfillment’s for her through achieving herself and obtaining her social status.- The woman’s work outside her home did not create differences between the spouses, but rather helped to understand each other, and family decisions became characterized by participation. One of the most important factors encouraging the working women to work outside her home is the husband’s help in housework and care for children The woman’s work helped her to raise her efficiency in performing the socialization process for the children,and helped with their physical, psychological and social stability, and worked to increase their emotional maturity, which leads to the stability and cohesion of their family. Family support has a positive effect on the working woman’s reconciliation between their family and professional work.- The working woman suffers from roles conflict due to the multiplicity of her family and professional roles.
