Abstract

The objective of this work is to prepare and evaluate anticancer activities of some new cationic bichalcophene derivatives “bithiophene and bifuran”. UV-vis absorptions of bifuran-5-carbonitriles and bifuran-5-carboxamidines in different solvents were measured. Computational studies of the target monocationic bithiophene compounds to compare experimental and theoretical data were investigated. Linking chemistry to biology to establish the structure activity relationship. The summary is concluded as follow : Chemistry 1 This section includes the preparation of the new cationic bichalcophenes and this was outlined in Schemes 1-4. characterization of the new compounds was established based on their elemental and spectral data (IR, NMR & Mass spectrometry).
