Abstract

Background: Staff nurses should be deal with fair or justice in their work to prevent work stress occurrence from all managers in the hospital and knows their rights and their responsibilities to increase productivity and job satisfaction. Aim: This study aimed to find out the relationship between organizational justice and work related stress among staff nurses. Design: A descriptive correlational design was used. Setting: The study was conducted at EL-Minia General hospital that affiliated to ministry of health.Subjects:145 staff nurses were included in the study. Tools of data collection: Data were collected by using Organizational Justice Questionnaire and Employment Organization Sources of Stressors Scale. Results: Slightly more than half (51.7%) of staff nurses had moderate level of organizational justice; also slightly more than two thirds (69.0%) of staff nurses had moderate level of work related stress. Conclusion: There is a statistically significant correlation between organizational justice dimensions and works related stress dimensions. Recommendations: Managers should be sure that all Procedures practiced consistently across individuals and time, absolutely free from favoritism and make sure that correct information is collected and utilized at making decision.
