Abstract

This study includes on consecutive three experiments to evaluation Aqua-Max Plus® in Nile tilapia O. niloticus diets under various feed and environmental conditions. The first and the second experiment performed on the private farm by Yousef Assal, Al-Gamaliah, Dakahlia Governorate, Egypt. Whereas, the third experiment conducted in Fish Research Unit, Faculty of Agriculture, Mansoura University, Dakahlia Governorate, Egypt. The first experiment: aimed to study the effect of different levels of Aqua-Max Plus® (0, 1, 2, 3, and 4 g / kg diet) on growth performance, feed utilization, the chemical composition of the fish body, hematological, and serum biochemical for (147 days) 21 weeks. This study concluded the addition of Aqua-Max Plus® in the Nile tilapia diets at level 2 g per kg diet led to the improvement in growth performance, feed efficiency, and chemical composition of the fish body. The second experiment: aims at the estimate of different levels of dietary protein (21, 23, 25, 27% crude protein) in Nile tilapia with adding the best level of Aqua-Max Plus® at level 2g/kg diet on growth performance, feed utilization, the chemical composition, physiological responses of Nile tilapia Oreochromis niloticus for 120 days (17 weeks). This study concluded the addition of Aqua-Max Plus® in the Nile tilapia diets led to improve the nutritional values of low protein diets (23% and 25%). Therefore, we can be recommended using Aqua-Max Plus® in the Nile tilapia diets at level 2 g / kg diet in low protein diets as a way to reduce the cost of fish feed. The third experiment: This study was designed to evaluate the effects of graduated levels of a new commercial Aqua-Max Plus® at 0, 2 and 4 g / kg diet and stocking density (50 and 100 fish/m3) on water quality, growth performance, feed utilization, carcass composition, condition factor and organs indices, hematological, and serum biochemical of adult Nile tilapia, Oreochromis niloticus for 15 weeks. Finally, the obtained results revealed the adverse effects of high SD (100 fish/m3) stress on the tested parameters of the adult O. niloticus compared to the fish reared at SD (50 fish/m3). In addition, the potential positive effects of Aqua-Max Plus® at levels 2 and 4 g/kg diet against the different SDs 50 and 100 fish /m3, respectively were detected too. Consequently, it could be concluded that the user of dietary Aqua-Max Plus® with these levels at the different intensive fish culture systems may be useful and more applicable in the large-scale fish farms.
