Abstract The present study was conducted to investigate the immunological profile of ginger oil and thyme oil on the cellular and humoral immune response of vaccinated rabbits with rabbit haemorhagic viral disease vaccine. Moreover, the histopathological effects on mesenteric lymph nodes and spleen was also studied. In this study, a total of twenty New Zealand white rabbits of 2-3 months, weighing about 1.500 -1.800 gm. were divided into 4 groups (each of 5 rabbits as the following: group (1): was left as control (non-treated – non-vaccinated). group (2): was subcutaneowly injected with the inactivated rabbit haemorrhagic viral disease vaccine it a dose of 0.5 ml per rabbit on the twenty one day of the experiment. group (3): were given ginger oil (250 mg/kg b.wt.) orally for successive 21 days then vaccinated. group (4): were given thy me oil 250 mg/kg b.wt.) orally for successive 21 days then vaccinated. |
