Research problem:
Thepopulation overcomes, rising of livingstandard, industrial and agricultural progress lead to a decrease in planted areas although the demand for agricultural products was increased. So, there isa need for vertical expansion in agricultural production which leads to intensive use of fertilizers, pesticides and chemicals. These intensive uses of chemicals lead to a chemical characteristic of the Egyptian agriculture to cope with the global trend of Green Revolution. But this leads to the spread of the negative effects of these chemicals on the environmental and agricultural health and therefore pollution of the land, water, air and the depletion of natural resources of agricultural lands.Hence, it was inevitable to follow the cleaner production strategy through technology relies on the shift to safe and clean production.
Research objectives:
The main objective was to evaluate the effectiveness of the product life-cycle analysis in the identification and measurement of the environmental impacts of agricultural product.
The importance of research:
The importance of this research began from the openness of global modalities on many global agricultural markets, resulting in the need to apply environmental quality standards in order to ensure the survival of the quality and efficiency of the products at a high level. This leads to achieve compatibility between the humanitarian needs of food and the system of standardization and environmental requirements through the stages of production. also emphasize on the importance of activating the role of EMS representative in ISO 14040 (evaluation of the product life cycle) as a criterion to measure, analyze and assess the environmental impacts of the product life cycle in all stages of production, consumption, usage and disposal either by recycling or conversion. This was happen in the context of application of clean agricultural policies as one of the alternatives available to treat the negative effects of agricultural product and work on the need to develop environmental information systems that provide information and measurements about the life cycle of the product and the impact of agricultural activity on the environment. This helps in identifying the size of these negative impacts and their reduction, which leads to major alteration in the fields of agricultural production. Also, this leads to find a good opportunity for export specifications accepted by the global market, which was free from residues of pesticides and chemicals, as well as saving the usage of natural resources and reduce pollution problems.
Research hypotheses:
A. Thereis no correlation and statistical significance between the environmental impacts resulting from the life cycle of rice production and lack of information and environmental expertise which are necessary to farmers in the Altal-Alkabeer area.
B. There is no significant relationship between the terms of the application of information systems (LCI) and the increase in awareness of workers in the agricultural sector to the principles of cleaner production.
C. There are no significant correlation between the application of information systems (LCI) and achievement of sustainable agricultural development.
Results:
1. There is increasein the negative effects resulting from production processes, especially at the stage of planting and agriculture in addition to the high rate of energy consumption during the product life cycle especially in the agriculture stage.
2. Increasing environmental and economic burdens for the cultivation of rice crop coping with the increase in annual production.
3. Despite the importance of laws and regulations in achieving compliance with environmental considerations, but it cannot be entirely reliable, due to the presence of a number of problems without turning to bear law.
4. The application of environmental management systems (ISO 14000) requires awareness of internal departments and officials of the agricultural sector in Egypt about the importance and benefits of the application of these systems. This awareness reliable in achieving compliance with environmental considerations , regardless of the presence or absence of legislation and economic incentives
5. Lack of theoretical knowledge and research experience in the field of product life cycle and the absence of a database to analyze the life cycle inventory (LCI) in Egypt to cope with the information revolution in the world.

Recommendations:
1) The need to reduce the cultivation of crops with high water consumption and gradually replaced by crops consuming less water with the use of genetic engineering to produce crops with few water needs, and modifying the crop composition to be in line with our water resources.
2) The need to establish laboratories to assess the life cycle, whether raw materials or finished products and supplying them with research and technical trainedcadres.
3) Create a database to analyze the life cycle inventory and work to continuously updated and made it available through the internet.
4) Conduct similar studies to measure the effectiveness of the use of life cycle assessment as a criterion for the control of production and also controls on exports and imports of agricultural products.
5) Encourage communication between the institutions in the field of life-cycle assessment (LCA) to exchange experiences and knowledge, and we must build cooperation bridges with international institutions to keep pace with the development, optimization, and technology transfer.
