Abstract
This was a retrospective, convenient, non- randomized study conducted on 40 consecutive patients who underwent isolated elective CABG at department of cardiothoracic surgery at Ain Shams University Hospitals. The aim of the study was to compare early outcomes of Custodiol versus blood cardioplegia in coronary artery bypass graft surgery at Ain Shams University Hospitals.
Our study demonstrated a significant increase in Total bypass time, Ventilation time, ICU stay in custodiol group than conventional blood cardioplegia group
