Abstract

In this work we checked the importance of concrete surface preparation depth by try roughness depth (1cm) as a check the importance of roughness in Improving adhesion area between aged and fresh concrete and adhesion material.
Testing of 10 samples of concrete slabs.
First group was the reference samples with whole depth (12 cm).
Then 8 samples are processed as sandwich sample, the two layers (6 cm + 6 cm) and the work of linking these two classes using different materials as following:
The second group used cement liquid as linked material in two samples one of these tested under compression and the second was tested under tension.
The third group used epoxy as linked material in two samples one of these tested under compression and the other one tested under tension.
The forth group used epoxy with shear connectors in four samples two for tension test and two for compression test. Then, we make a simple differentiation between the trial and finite element analysis.
A correlation was made between the after effects of the test program with the consequences of the numerical investigation and it was discovered that there is a decent different between them.
