Abstract:
In the light of new tempestuous human, social and cultural changes that Egyptian society faces, Egyptian personality is of particular importance. This is the time when nations and peoples began to recognize the importance of its identity that is resulting from the new cultural changings that appear in the Egyptian society. That is why; it was necessary to concern with and preserve the essence of the Egyptian personality. Thus, more attention has been paid to the Egyptian personality because its historical roots are a great example of originality. The personality of any nation regards as the Security and safety valve that enables them to renew and keep pace with the age. Consequently, it participates in establishing their identity and maintaining their existence. This study discusses the issue of change in Egyptian personality characteristics.
This study aimed at identifying the main objective of ”the environmental factors and changing in Egyptian personality characteristics”. ”The following sub-objectives resulted from this main objective”:
1. To identify the environmental factors that lead to change in Egyptian personality characteristics.
2. To identify the differences between psychological variables that occurred to Egyptian personality.
3. To identify the differences between The Egyptian personality and Educational level.
4. To identify the differences between The Egyptian personality in terms of Spatial dimension (urban and rural).
Results:The results of the study were as the following:
1- The participants’ answers regarding the phrases related to the questions of the environmental factors were largely applicable.
2- The participants’ answers regarding the phrases related to the questions of change in personality were largely applicable.
3- The participants’ answers regarding the phrases related to the questions of dimension of variation indicators were largely applicable. (991) on the Cronbach scale.
4- There are significant differences in the participants’ opinions which are attributed to the age, on the environmental factors and change in personality , variation indicators and change in Egyptian personality characteristics.
5- There are significant differences in the participants’ opinions which are attributed to Governate (Cairo – Menoufia), on the environmental factors and change in personality , variation indicators and change in Egyptian personality characteristics.
6- There are significant differences in the participants’ opinions which are attributed to Spatial dimension (urban and rural), on the environmental factors and change in personality, variation indicators and change in Egyptian personality characteristics.
7- No significant differences in the participants’ opinions ( whether male or female ), about the environmental factors and change in personality , variation indicators and change in Egyptian personality characteristics.
8- There are significant differences in the participants’ opinions which are attributed to the family members’ numbers, on the environmental factors and change in personality, variation indicators and change in Egyptian personality characteristics.
9- There are significant differences in the participants’ opinions which are attributed to the educational level (literate people - medium-level qualifications – university education) , on the environmental factors and change in personality , variation indicators and change in Egyptian personality characteristics
10- No significant differences in the participants’ opinions that are attributed to Social status, about the environmental factors and change in personality, variation indicators and change in Egyptian personality characteristics.
11- There are significant differences in the participants’ opinions which are attributed to work times, on the environmental factors and change in personality ,variation indicators and change in Egyptian personality characteristics.
