Abstract
This main objective of this investigation were to study the following parameters: 1- To study the effect of biochar, compost individually and their mixtures (1:1) at different rate of applications 0.5% and 1.0% on soil chemical properties. 2- Evaluating effect of biochar, compost and their mixtures on soil microbial biomass carbon (SMB-C) and dry weight of canola plant. 3- Studying the relationship between dry weight of canola plant and each of SMB-C, CEC. 4- Evaluating the effect of application rate of compost, biochar and their mixtures on immobilization of heavy metals in the contaminated soil by chemical analyses. 5- Assessment of heavy metals immobilization in the contaminated soil after biochar, compost and their mixture additions by
spectroscopic analyses.
