Abstract

The objective of this study includes an approach to assist a system choice for turf irrigation for the best turf appearance and quality, resources and conditions for a set of qualifying resources and conditions based on an ES.
(ES) ( Corvid Exsys, 2016) programs had been designed to solve problems where conventional decision making approaches assist irrigation engineering, irrigation technical, and owners for the choice of the best irrigation system under site conditions. The best irrigation management reflects on final turf appearance and quality in site. ES was tested and evaluated, on a number of different and various cases of site conditions.
Hereby, the aim of this investigation was to build, verify and validate an ESP for choosing the best irrigation system and best management under site conditions of Egypt.
Evaluation process compares ES result with case studies, to test the integrity of the proposed system. That gives the best practice in judging cases under study. The results showed the following:
 It is clear that subsurface drip , self-compensating surface drip irrigation, got the highest score among tested irrigation systems, while bubbler irrigation got the smallest score among tested irrigation systems in all case studies, for lawn, shurbs and ground covers.
 It is clear that bubbler, self-compensating surface drip, and non-self- compensating drip systems were the most appropriate irrigation, due to high scores compared with other irrigation systems, for trees and palms. That appropriate irrigation, central control management and the water saving percent of consumption of turf throughout the year as compared to using other management (automatic and manual) systems, increased scores by 29.5% and 37%, when using central control irrigation than other management systems. Savings in enercentral control irrigation than other management systems (automatic and manual) resp.
 It is clear that the central control has the most appropriate irrigation system with area ≥ 50000m2, due to higher score compared with other irrigation management systems. By decreasing site area; the automatic irrigation was the best management operation. That corroborates with site conditions.
 Results obtained from ESP with the location data where to select the appropriate irrigation system and appropriate management for operating the system. This was reflected in the final appearance and quality of turf.
 The results show that the output of ESP contribute to the high turf color, intensity and coverage.
* New scientific contribution observed from this Ph.D. dissertation:
The developed ESP plays a critical role and assists irrigation engineering, and technology in the choice of the best irrigation system under site conditions, with best irrigation management. This reflects on the overall appearance and quality of the turf.
The new inputs include peculiar landscape conditions pertinent to diveristy of Egyptian tourstic sites: Vis. El Sokhna, El- Zafarana, North coast etc.. These conditions were used a guides for the domain experts who contributed for the first time to developing resort recreational area around the country.gy amount to 37% and 46.3%
