المستخلص The present study aimed to determine an Intelligent Adaptive Learning System in Light of the Learning Styles in The Development of preparatory Stage Students Self-Learning Skills and Cognitive Achievement in Science. In order to achieve this aim, A Learning Style questionnaire was prepared to determined Learning Styles among students which can be in the light of the results an Intelligent Adaptive Learning System in The Development of preparatory Stage Students Self-Learning Skills and Cognitive Achievement in Science. A unit of science curriculum for second grade preparatory first semester was chosen “fossils and extinction” and was designed it to appropriate the learning styles of students and the adaptive learning system. In order to evaluate the effectiveness of the Intelligent Adaptive Learning System, an achievement test, a measure of self-learning skills was designed and applied to the study groups. Experimental and control groups from second grade preparatory stage students were assigned. The study tools were administered before and after learning using the Intelligent Adaptive Learning System to these groups. The results of the study showed that there are statistically- significant differences between the mean scores of the experimental group and the control group in the post-administration of the achievement test, a measure of self-learning skills in favor of the experimental group.
