Descriptive corelational design was used to carry out the study at two hospital on convenience sample of 65 head nurses 30 from Ain the Shams University Hospitals, and 35 from El Demerdash Surgical hospital. A pilot study was carried out on 10% which was (6) head nurses from both hospitals. The actual fieldwork started at the beginning of June 2015, and was completed by the end of September 2016.
The Data were collected by using two tools:

Part IV: Time interruptions (wasters) questionnaire:
To assess the time interruption among head nurses. It consisted of 22 items external factors (11), internal factors (11).
- Expended nursing stress scale (ENSS) (Appendix 11)
To measure stress level among head nurses. It consisted of 50 items mentioned above
The Results of this study have shown the following most important finding:
• Their age ranged between 30 to < 40 years, with a mean (32.89±4.93, 33.01±5.12) respectively.
• Meanwhile the majority of head nurses at Ain Shams University hospital and El Demerdash hospital had experience ≥ 5 years as head nurses ( 83.3%, 77.1%) respectively.
• total score of the head nurse in the two studied hospitals was nearly equal with mean score (15.04±6.95) and (15.32±5.19) respectively with no statistical significant differences between the two hospitals.
• leading and staffing dimension, indicates that the total score of the head nurse in the two studied hospitals was nearly equal with mean score (9.90±4.52) and (9.88±3.75) respectively with no statistical significant differences between the two hospitals.
• planning and controlling dimension, indicates that the total score of the head nurse in the two studied hospitals was nearly equal (10.40±5.15) and (10.02±4.27) respectively with no statistical significant differences between the two hospitals.
• No statistically significant differences between the two studied hospitals in total time management practices score.
• degree of delegation, indicates that head nurses of El Demerdash hospital have slightly high total mean score (62.74±20.52) compared to head nurses of Ain shams university hospital (60.93±25.09), with no statistical significant differences between the two hospitals.
• Moreover, statistically significant differences were revealed between the two studied hospitals in relation to ”There is no crisis management plan”, ”Un clear authority and responsibility for each individual”, ”There is no system of record-keeping.”, ”Un clear hospital. Policies and procedures”, ”Inadequate number of clerical staff”, ”Excessive DROP in visitors during work” (p= 0.01, 0.01, 0.04, 0.004, 0.004, and 0.001) respectively.
• Moreover, statistically significant differences were revealed between the two studied hospitals in relation to ”Inability to divide work into small tasks can be carried out”, ”I prefer routine work at the beginning of my daily”, ”Continuous procrastination”, ” Lack of training courses in nursing management”, ”Inadequate number of clerical staff”, ”Excessive DROP in visitors during work” (p= 0.01, 0.03, 0.04, and 0.02,) respectively.
• score of work place stress related to personal causes that the total score of the head nurse in the two studied hospitals was nearly equal (18.60±8.32) and (18.71±7.14) respectively with no statistical significant differences between the two hospitals.
• work place stress related to hospital, that the total score of the head nurse in the two studied hospitals was nearly equal (24.13±9.52) and (24.82±7.84) respectively with no statistical significant differences between the two hospitals.
• total score of work place stress related to the Unit /Word, that the total score of the head nurse in the two studied hospitals was nearly equal (13.56±6.94) and (13.51±5.65) with no statistical significant differences between the two hospitals.
• work place stress related to position, that head nurses of El Demerdash hospital have slightly higher total mean score (21.57±8.65) than head nurses of Ain shams university hospital (20.76±10.72), with no statistical significant differences between the two hospitals.
• work place stress related to tasks and responsibilities, that head nurses of El Demerdash hospital have slightly higher total mean score (32.22±12.04) than head nurses of Ain shams university hospital (31.76±14.30), with no statistical significant differences between the two hospitals.
• work place stress related to doctors, that head nurses of El Demerdash hospital have slightly higher total mean score (14.00±4.93) than head nurses of Ain shams university hospital (13.40±6.19), with no statistical significant differences between the two hospitals.
• Demonstrates that head nurses of Ain shams university hospital have slightly low total mean score (154.00±69.36) compared to head nurses of El Demrdash Hospital (157.20±57.06).
• Moreover, there are no statistically significant differences between the two studied hospitals in total work place stress score.

• negative statistically significant correlation between time management scores of the studied head nurses and their work place stress score with highly statistically significant differences (r= -0.95) (p=0.03).
• negative correlation between delegation score of the studied head nurses and their work place stress score with highly statistically significant differences (r=-0.950), (p=0.0001).
Conclusion
There was negative correlation between time management score of and studied head nurses work place stress score. There was positive correlation between time management score of the studied head nurses degree of delegation. There was negative correlation between delegation score and stress level.
The study recommends that.
